Kreg has a rich history and can help woodworkers get super clean finishes with minimal hassle. Now, the brand announced its latest innovation in pocket hole joinery. Kreg designed 720 and 720Pro pocket hole fixtures, equipped with all the tools, can take your woodworking work to a new level.

Both Kreg pocket hole fixtures can speed up and clean your pocket hole joinery. It starts with the Automaxx fixture. The clamp can automatically adjust materials with thicknesses between 1/2" and 1-1/2". You simply slide the material into place and press the handle. GripMaxx non-slip material helps to hold the material firmly.

After clamping, the business end of the Kreg pocket hole fixture will line up to guide your drill into the workpiece at a perfect angle. Kreg made drill guides out of hardened steel to provide lifetime clean pits.

Starting February 15th, you can purchase Kreg 720 and 720Pro pocket hole fixtures from any number of hardware or online stores. The retail price of KPHJ720 is US$129.99, while the retail price of KPHJ720Pro is US$149.99. Although both models include some pocket hole screws, some drill and screwdriver bits, and a dust collection accessory, the 720Pro has some additional features.

With Kreg 720Pro, you can also get a docking station. As Kreg told us, this turns the 720Pro into the ultimate desktop workstation by providing wings that support longer workpieces. These material support wings also provide some extra storage space for screws and drill bits.

With 720Pro, you can also get Pocket Hole Jig Clamp, which allows you to fix the fixture to the workstation. The fixture can also be used in conjunction with the 500 series pocket hole fixture. Of course, this clip and docking station can also be purchased separately.

Kreg also has a custom plug cutter drill guide kit (KPHA740) that can create plugs to fit perfectly into your project. Its retail price is $69.99.

For small projects, the Kreg Micro-Pocket Drill Guide kit can create smaller pocket holes. They use 1/2 inch materials and narrow stocks. The 530 drill guide kit (KPHA530) is used with the 500 series pocket hole fixture, while the 730 drill guide kit (KPHA730) is compatible with the 700 series fixture. The retail price of both is US$49.99.

Kreg also provides micro drill bits and stop rings. You can purchase KPHA540 for $16.99.

It looks like they tried to remake the Porter Cable pocket hole fixture, but stopped at 1/2. Manually setting the stop ring is still the most error-prone place. This is a guarantee that you will drill into the base at some point because you forgot to reset the collar for a different thickness of wood. Most importantly, it is bigger and harder to store. It seems to be a badly missed opportunity.

In contrast, this makes my Kreg Jig K5 with automatic adjustment function, which looks old and slow. I see holes in its main body, but I don't know if these holes allow it to be mounted on the board like my K5.
